I t starts on Monday June 1st, 2009 and lasts five nights and six days, if you start out in Reno.

Who can go?

The 2009 tour will take 75 applications for pre-1972 American cars. After submitting your tour request, (found on the "Contacts & Sign Up" page), you will receive an application form.

How much is it?

The registration cost is $75.00 per car to pay for the cost of organizing the tour. All money left over will be donated to charity at the end of the tour.

Click on "Contacts and Sign Up" or e-mail us at nevada-rides@lycos.com and say that you want to go! We will e-mail you.
the invitation form. There are no additional requirements other than driving a pre-'72 American car and e-mailing us a picture of your touring car.

Do we have to start in Reno?

No! The tour will start in Reno and you can join in anywhere along the tour that you want to, for as long as you want to. If you want to go for a days ride, join in! If you want to join in at Reno or Las Vegas, join in and you can finish the tour on your own schedule.

Who's paying for this?

All costs involved with this tour are by individual and not by Big Al or Gary. Big Al and Gary are just coordinating the tour and have no financial interests or gain involved. This is a fun tour for people that enjoy driving their rides and giving back to the community.

What about hotels?

Al has made contact with several hotels in each city with an overnight stay to obtain a group rate for tour members. You will receive the information in your January newsletter about hotels that are offering group rates. If you prefer to stay at another hotel, that's OK, there are no requirements or penalties involved.

Do you have a trouble truck?

Yes! We have a 'Trouble Truck' with a car hauler that follows behind the touring cars, and three support vehicles that circulate in front, in the middle, and behind the touring cars.

What about car shows?

We have the Concours d'Arrogonce car show at the Atlantis to celebrate the arrival of the out-of-town tour members that arrive on Sunday, May 31st. Click on the car show icon on the side bar for more information. Car shows on the tour are just that, a place where we can show our cars to the other car clubs and the people of their city and talk about 'the good old days'. There are no prizes, ribbons, or trophies awarded. We have asked the participating entities to donate any money collected to local car clubs or charities.

Can I trailer my car?

Yes, to and from Reno. Your car can not be trailered during the tour. There are parking arrangements for your truck and trailer during the tour.
